Basic Facts on Farm Animals
Farm animal means any domesticated species that are normally and have historically been kept and raised on farms, and some are used or intended for use as food or fibre, or for improving animal nutrition, breeding, management, or production efficiency.
Although this section groups animals that can be found on a farm, they can also be found under various other Groups (mammals, birds, etc.) on this website.

The following species are classified as farm animals, or animals which are bred to produce offspring for human consumption:
