Over 500 youth and 1,000 head of cattle from around the Midwest are heading to St. Paul for the Minnesota Beef Expo.
The event, which started in 2000, is one of the largest youth beef shows in the upper Midwest, explained Blaire Huneke, agriculture communications supervisor for the Minnesota State Fair.
Thursday night is a big draw with the Minnesota Youth Beef Experience Program (MYBEP) Ideas and Insights Symposium.
MYBEP focuses on helping youth learn about and get into the livestock industry by partnering them with a mentor.
